I've always loved dogs, but there's one girl who changed everything — my dachshund. I brought her home when she was just a puppy, and it was literally love at first sight! I never loved a dog as much as I do her, and I know she loves me right back.
Before her, I never knew a dog could make me laugh the way she does. The way she wiggles and waddles, the way she burrows under blankets like a little sausage, the way she looks at me with those big doxie eyes — she's weird and funny and wonderful, and she makes me smile every single day.
Since owning her, dachshunds have become my all-time favorite breed. She's the whole reason this shop exists.
But I couldn't stop at just one favorite. Right next door, my neighbors have two of the cutest French bulldogs you've ever seen — and I've even pet-sat them a few times. Let me tell you, they're just as hilarious as my weenie.
They snort, they zoom, they love hard. It seems like Frenchies are everywhere these days — in more homes than the weenies, honestly — but that's okay. The doxie still holds the #1 spot in my heart.
